I am honored to bring new work to Transform Festival at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. This fall, the festival is built around the urgent question: Why Citizenship? Fauxnique responds by digging into authenticity and artifice to create a femme drag mythology. Inspired by our troubling moment and my very recent residency at Headlands, I imagine landscape as an allegory for feminist and queer resistance and use my performance practice to reenact its audacity. With special guests Qween, Miss Rahni Nothingmore & Gia!
